A stitch in time...

We just returned from our summer holiday...
what a delightful little break!
just thought I would share what I was working on while away...

I traced the children's hands on a piece of raw linen...
and began stitching away...
using three similar shades of embroidery floss for each hand...

and a little velvet heart was a must...
because they are my loves!

and the date I finished...
to forever remember when their precious hands were this size...
"a stitch in time"

truly a treasure!
I can't wait to find the perfect frame now!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Many Blessings!
Jill

  4. Thank you so much for sharing this project. My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia a month ago and I have been wanting a project to keep my hands busy while in the hospital. This is perfect in that it will allow me to capture a bit of my kids during this time in our lives. Thanks again!!!
