similar to a friendship bracelet...
a family bracelet
because,
"families are forever!" (and extra special too!)
to create ours,
we each chose three different fabrics,
then simply tore them into strips and braided them...
for the ends we knotted and shredded them a bit to form
a messy pom-pom...
I like to wear mine with other bracelets too...
a sweet *fun* reminder of my precious family!
"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Ecclesiastes 4:12
Hope ya'll have a wonderful holiday weekend!
We're off to celebrate with our family! "See" you Tuesday!
Many Blessings!

ReplyDeleteI am going to have my girls from my church group make them next Friday night! Thanks for the inspiration, going to buy fabric scraps this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow. I just made these with my 4 year old daughter on Thursday. They actually started as a headband, but things went awry when I added elastic, so we cut it in half and made it into 2 bracelets. I didn't think of using the verse as a teachable moment with her, but we'll for sure make more and incorporate it. I have some cute patriotic fabric, so I think we have a project for tomorrow while the kids are out of school :)
