nesting...

well, creating "noodle nests" that is...
one of the children's favorites they look forward to (and ask for!) every Easter!

a simple little treat, created with:

24 paper baking cups
3 T. butter or margarine
3 T. creamy peanut butter
3 C. mini marshmallows
1 (12oz.) bag chow mein noodles
jelly beans
24 marshmallow chicks

Melt margarine over low heat. Gradually stir in peanut butter, then slowly
add marshmallows. Stir until mixture is melted and smooth.

Remove mixture from heat. Add noodles and stir until noodles are coated.

Spoon mixture into paper lined muffin tins and shape to form nests.

When nests are cool, you may add jelly bean "eggs"...

and of course a little chick too!

Enjoy!
&
Happy "Nesting"!

Many Blessings!
Jill

p.s. ya'll just blessed me beyond words with all your emails (and comments)
filled with prayers and well wishes!

and the stone is moving along...slowly, but moving!

More?!!...Easter Parade!

Welcome back! I have now realized I may have to join "Easter Anonymous"! I promise this is the end of the tour- can you believe it's not the end of the decorations though?! Guess I'll save the rest for next year! I told ya'll- I LOVE Easter!

See all those eggs on the mantel? That's a tradition that started when I was a little girl, a precious lady in TEXAS has been making and selling these for years, each year my mom and I would go choose a few "special" eggs to add to our collection. When I started my family I continued the tradition with my children- on Spring Break we visit the "Egg Lady" and they each choose an egg for the collection.

Look! how cute is that owl?...and the frog, birdhouse....

Showing some "team spirit" here...a few of our favorites...

Oh, the flamingo! I LOVE flamingos!!! Could it be they are pink? (my favorite color) or that they are tall? (like I wish I was)or that they remind me of the summer?! (my absolute favorite time of the year!)

The coffee table is were we will put the eggs we dye- around the cute bird candle holder- tucked in that colorful Easter grass.

The kitchen table- where we spend ALOT of time! I go a little "crazy" in here-

The chandelier gets gussied-up in ribbon happiness, along with hanging rabbits and Easter cones.

On each child's chair they have a "special critter" tied on...with ribbon - again - of coarse!

The Prince's chair- he loved frogs as a little boy!

Princess #1's chair!

and Princess #2's chair!

The "spring" wreath from Jes! :)

The kitchen island- this bunny bowl holds eggs we have made in the past, painted wooden and paper mache eggs.

Princess #2 presented me with these "pretty rocks" from the playground at school- she thought they were "so cute and little and a pretty color"! I love little treasures from the children!

and most important of all....the reason we are celebrating this season!

Thank ya'll SO much for joining me on the parade! How about a little something fun?

A GIVE-AWAY!!!
I will draw a name this weekend and ship out a box full of "Spring Goodness" to the lucky winner!
just leave a little comment that you want to be in on the drawing !
Have a wonderful day!

Many Blessings!

The Easter Parade continues...

Welcome back ya'll!
This table sits just inside the front doors- it got a little "Easter" pick-me-up!

I added the bunny candles to the candlesticks. The lamb got a splash of colorful grass to rest on.
The Bible's on the table stay out always- they are my husband's and mine from childhood- we just think they are a sweet reminder of what's important to us in our home.

A little down the entry you find the "royal court's" chairs! I LOVE these!

There is always a little pillow tucked in one of the chairs- I like to change them out for different holidays- or just for fun! This is a little bunny painted on a silk pillow with a cute fluffy tail.

The dining room has a rabbit wishing everyone "Happy Easter"! He is surrounded by some fun projects- pretty little eggs- some even have initials!

On Easter Mr. Rabbit is going to have a special surprise tucked in the box he is standing on- shhhhhhh!

I had so much fun making these eggs- they were super easy and quick! I bought paper mache eggs, painted them, sealed them and embellished away- the glitter initial ones are my favorite- one for each person in the family!

Well what are those on the chandelier???

Oh, the butterflies are back! They come out every Easter and stay through the summer!

What's that in the corner?

A silly bunny - he must be playing "Hide and SNEAK" (as 6 year old princess calls it!)

Oh, vintage butter pats! I LOOOVE them! I collect them- they are getting hard to find now though...so sad! I really want to hang my collection in the entry on either side of the mirror in the first picture. Just trying to decide how...

Just another sweet lamb...
Wishing you all....a very Happy Easter!
Many Blessings!
